Recruitment Fraud Alert

How to Verify a Real Hueman or PrincetonOne Recruiter.

We’ve learned that fraudsters are posing as recruiters from Hueman People Solutions and our brands, Hueman RPO, PrincetonOne, and Hueman Professional Recruitment, to target job seekers. We want you to know how to spot these messages and protect yourself.

Spoof fraud attempts

Fraudulent recruiters are contacting people by email and LinkedIn about confidential job opportunities, often senior-level roles. Some use invented names. Others use the names of real Hueman and PrincetonOne employees and copy our logos and email signatures to look legitimate.

Some of these messages come from web domains made to look like ours, often with small spelling differences that are easy to miss. Others come from Gmail accounts.

After collecting a resume, scammers may say you’ve advanced in the process and then ask you to pay for help with documents, such as a resume rewrite, a leadership profile, or a 30-60-90 day plan, sometimes promising reimbursement.

How our recruiters contact you

Hueman recruiters email from @hueman.com or @princetonone.com addresses. When we recruit on behalf of one of our clients, our recruiters may also contact you from that client’s company email address.

If you’re not sure whether a message is from us, contact us before you reply. We’re happy to check.

Our recruiters will never

  • Ask you to pay for anything, including application fees, resume or document preparation, training, equipment, background checks, or visa support
  • Refer you to a third party that charges you for help with your application
  • Contact you from Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook.com, or any other free email account. Pay attention to misspellings or weird email prefix and suffixes.
  • Ask for bank details, payment card numbers, or government ID numbers during the recruiting process
  • Refuse to speak with you by phone or video, or insist the entire process happen by text or chat app

If you’ve been contacted

  1. Stop. Don’t reply, click links, open attachments, send documents, or make a payment.
  2. Block. Report the offending sender as a Phishing attempt and block through your email client.
  3. Report. Contact us at info@hueman.com and include the message you received. Forwarding it helps us most.

If you’ve already shared information or paid

Contact your bank or card provider right away if you shared financial details or made a payment. Be cautious of any further messages from the same sender, and consider reporting the incident to local authorities. You can also let us know at info@hueman.com so we can include it in our reports.

How we’re taking action

Aside from putting the word out, we’re reporting these accounts and domains to the companies that host them and to LinkedIn, and we’re working to have them taken down. We’ve also alerted our teams so they can help anyone who reaches out.

Thank you to everyone who has contacted us to check. Your reports help us protect other job seekers.
